When Alyssa Hamilton arrives on November 19th, 1963, she encounters him as a spirit, having been blinded by Corroder even as a ghost; because of his blindness, Albert carries a cane and a bell to alert his mother.
She later witnesses Corroder savagely beats Albert and Dorothy, blind them, and put them in a vat of acid.
Alyssa later recovers Dorothy's Shawl, a shawl that Albert knitted for her. After defeating Corroder, Alyssa gives it to Dorothy, and it allows Dorothy and Albert's spirits to rest in peace.
Percy from the bakery gave me the name of a good optometrist in London. It's been 7 years now since mum lost her sight, and though she tries to appear cheerful, it's difficult to watch her growing old. Perhaps the doctor can do something to help her. It will be expensive. I wonder if my savings will be enough...
