The Door Spell, known as the Foreign Note before its translation, is an item in Clock Tower.
Clock Tower[]
The Door Spell is a required item to earn Ending A. It is a Latin spell, presumably written by Quintin Barrows, the head of the 13th generation of the Barrows, to open the "door" within a chamber below the castle and vanquish Scissorman, if there's any need.
Jennifer's Scenario[]
After evading Scissorman in the Chapel area, Jennifer Simpson stumbles upon the Door Spell in the mini-library. As she can't read Latin, she decides to find either Professor Barton or Helen to have them translate the spell. If Helen translates it, Barton may be found hanging dead, so if the player wants everyone alive, have Barton translate it.
Eventually, during the game's climax, after placing the Demon Idol onto its slot, once the "door" was revealed, Jennifer immediately chanted the spell, thus opening the "door". As Jennifer and Scissorman were caught in the blast, with Scissorman attempting to drag her in with him, Jennifer manages to close the "door" by stabbing him with the dagger.
Helen's Scenario[]
Helen Maxwell would find the Door Spell within a fireplace in the Master Bedroom, which she finds with the aid of a flashlight. As Helen can read Latin, she translates the spell by herself.
Eventually, during the game's climax, after placing the Demon Idol onto its slot, once the "door" was revealed, Helen immediately chanted the spell, thus opening the "door". As Helen and Scissorman were caught in the blast, with Scissorman attempting to drag her in with him, the "door" then closed once Gotts came and saved Helen by shooting Scissorman with his pistol.
